Welcome To Peninsula Wildthings
Peninsula Wildthings is a social group of home educating families that meet weekly at different locations on the Mornington Peninsula (Mostly). We base our walks and get togethers (and the occasional bike ride) in natural and bush setting, beaches, occassionally at open parks or an organised activity of some sort. Ages of the group (thus far) are 2 - 15 yrs of age. Due to the number of yonger kids that come along, our walks are usually kept pretty easy, we will try and put up if a walk is "pramable" or not, and weather to bring a lunch to carry or a lunch to eat after a walk. If you think Peninsula Wildthing might suit your family, you are more than welcome to come along to any of our walks or activites.

in "What's On" Some of these activities we may have planned ourselves, but more likely they are public comunity events/activies that are on that may be of interest to homeschoolers. You may and we hope you will, share with us activities you have organised or would like to organise and promote here to get the numbers to hold the session.
Our aim is to help facilitate the getting together of homeschoolers, unschoolers, natural learners on the Mornington Peninsula and surrounds. We hope you find this helpful, make new friends, do new things and have fun.
If you'd like to join our group and have any suggestions for walks/meeting palces/activities, we welcome your ideas and suggestions.
In regards to the weather, we usually go rain, hail or shine (or sleet or snow or wind or what ever else Melbourne decides to through at us), but if the weather is looking questionable please do check the website in the morning for last minute changes on the day.
We are hoping to set up a facebook page in the near future, and although there is an option to join a mailing list, this service is currently inactive. We'll let you know if that changes and also when FB page is up and running.
